Meet Dr. Mendez

Dr. Mendez is a Diplomate of the American Association of Endodontists, a Board Certified Endodontist.

Dr. Paula Mendez earned her D.D.S degree from Universidad Javeriana, School of Dentistry, Colombia. From the same Institution she completed her first Postgraduate Program in Endodontics in 1995. For 12 years in her native country, Dr. Mendez maintained her private practice; she was a clinical associate professor and President of her regional Endodontic Association.

In 2008, she pursued Specialty Education Program in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, where she earned her Certificate receiving the highest recognition, the Grossman Award. She has also taught at the Pennsylvania Dental Microscope Training Center where dentist from around the world come to train in Micro-endodontics and Microsurgery. She has been a member of the Distant Learning Committee of the American Association of Endodontists.

Dr. Mendez is currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania post graduate program.  One of the most prestigious Programs in the Country. She lectures Nationally and Internationally. She is also a co-author of a chapter in the book Microsurgery in Endodontics by Syngcuk Kim. 

In her free time she likes to spend time with her husband Jorge and her two sons Jose and Felipe. She is the biggest fan of her son’s college soccer team. She has a English Bulldog named Charlie that she adores.
